Easy Nail Art Designs

Learn how to create your own simple nail art

To begin your easy nail art designs, first get yourself a fine paint brush.

These can be purchased online or at any art shop.

Next, for simple nail art you will need acrylic paints, these are a must for creating simple nail art designs, and more elaborate designs.

Using nail polish is not a good idea, if you intend to paint designs on your fingernails with a paint brush. Nail polish is thicker, takes longer to dry and not good for your brush either.

To practice some designs, buy a packet of false nails and paint some designs on them until you get the hang of it.

A lovely easy design to do is to, paint your nails with clear nail varnish, allow to dry. Get your paint brush and using white and yellow acrylic paint, paint a small flower at the tips of your nails. Do a yellow dot and small white strokes around it.

Always remember to put a top coat on your nails once they are dry. This will help protect and seal your design.

Painting stripes is always an easy nail design to do, paint your nails in whatever nail polish color you prefer, then dip into acrylic paint and do horizontal or vertical stripes.

Glitter and rhinestones are a popular look, and can give your nails a great effect. If you like doing flowers, you can stick a little stone in the middle of the flower.

A steady hand is a must, and nails with a bit of length is always better as it gives you more space to work with.

If you are not sure what type of design you would like, you can always practice some designs on paper first, then paint the design on acrylic nail tips and then your own fingernails.

Or, you can always practice on a friend.

Dip your brush lightly into the paint, don't go too heavy on the paint, and if you feel a little shaky rest your arm on the table.

Starting off with stripes, dots and little hearts is an easy way to get started and build up your confidence, before you start on more elaborate designs.
