How To Pedicure
Do you want to know how to pedicure your own toenails? It is certainly a good way to save time and money.
Getting a pedicure or doing it yourself is very relaxing, and a real confidence builder. When the warmer weather hits, you can't wait to show your toes off, in a pair of sandals or sexy open toed shoes for a night out. There are a few different types of pretty pedicures, if you visit a spa or salon; you will be given the option of stone, paraffin, regular, mini and French pedicure. Giving yourself a regular pedicure is easy and your toenails will look beautiful. Pedicure Instructions For starters, if you have nail polish on your toe nails, remove this first, preferable with a non acetone nail polish remover. Soak your feet in warm soapy water for about 10 to 15 minutes, put in anything you like really, your favorite bath salts, Epsom salts, or aromatherapy oils.
Scrub your feet with a foot scrub or body scrub, and gently scrub with a pumice stone, underneath your feet and around the toes.A cheap and very effective natural scrub is to use sugar and olive oil, or any oil you fancy. When finished, wash off with warm water. Trim your toe nails straight across, with nail clippers or scissors. Don't cut them to short, as this can lead to bleeding or else cause pain. The best length for toenails is to have them to the length of your toes. This way you will protect yourself from ingrown toenails. Next, file with a nail file, in one direction, straight across and slightly rounded at the corners. Apply a cuticle cream. Massage the cuticle cream into and around your cuticles, and when finished, wipe clean with a cloth and using an orange stick, gently push back cuticles. If you want to put on polish, wipe over your nails with nail polish remover to remove any oils from your nails. This will also help the polish last longer. Use a toe separator or cotton balls to help separate your toes first. Apply a top coat, allow to dry, then apply your favorite nail polish brand, when dry apply another coat, then a top coat. The top coat will give your nails a nice shine and help protect the nail polish. Getting a pedicure either at a salon or doing it yourself, is a healthy way to look after your toenails and feet. How to pedicure yourself is a great way to keep your feet, toes and toenails looking and feeling fantastic.
