Commercial Toe nail Fungus Cure

Trying to find a toe nail fungus cure can be confusing, there are so many toe nail fungus topical remedies on the market.

Cures for fungus take time, you will not see immediate results, no matter what you choose do use.

There are some over the counter fungus creams available, but I would not recommend using them. Most of these treatments are to treat skin infections such as; vaginal yeast infections or (oral thrush), tinea versicolor, athlete's foot (tinea pedis), jock itch (tinea cruris) or tinea corporis.

These creams are; Lotrimin, Mycelex, (generic brand name clotrimazole)
Undecylenic acid
Monistat, Femizol, Vagistat, M-Zole, Micatin, (generic name miconazole).

Treating nail fungus with any of the above over the counter products will not help you. Yet many people will be recommended any one of the above, as a fix.

Nail fungus is a very difficult infection, and you need to use a treatment which is able to penetrate the nail.

Loceryl, this is a topical treatment applied as a nail lacquer, and is applied once a week to a clean, dry, nail.

Loceryl has quite a good success rate, although it is a long process, as you need to wait for the new nail to grow out.

Alergic reactions to Loceryl are rare.

The active ingredient in Loceryl is Amorolfine Hydrochloride, and is also found in Curanail, and is the same drug marketed under the brand name Loceryl.

You don't need a prescription for this.

Curanail is applied once a week as well, to a clean, dry, nail.

Curanail is available in the UK and Europe and Loceryl is available in the US and Australia.

Also available without prescription.

Penlac (Ciclopirox) is a nail lacquer available on prescription only, it is applied daily, and is not ideal for advanced stages of nail fungus.

Treatment using any one of these is long, as you need to wait for the nail to grow out, which is about 12 months for a toenail and up to 6 months for a fingernail.

Using an over the counter toe nail fungus treatment, along with natural cures for toenail fungus will help you achieve more positive results.

When I was suffering from toe nail fungus, I applied Loceryl and in between treatment would use tea tree oil.

A toe nail fungus cure such as Curanail and Loceryl are best used for fungus which is not in advanced stages.
