Treatment For Fingernail Fungus

Symptoms Of Fingernail Fungus

There is a treatment for fingernail fungus which can help cure your nail fungus symptoms forever!

Fingernail fungus cures are wide and varied, and many people will often resort to natural cures for fingernail fungus.

If your nail fungus is already very aggressive, you may find a natural fingernail fungus treatment such as tea tree oil, vicks vaporub and white vinegar are not helping. Yet, unless you resort to laser treatment, I recommend you perservere. Eventually, new nail will start to grow.

All of my nails which were infected responded well, especially to the white vinegar. One fingernail in particular did not take to anything I was doing, and the nail became much worse, with the fungus spreading over the entire fingernail.

My fingernail became yellow, with a couple of black flecks in it, and brownish shades to it as well. Part of the nail had detached from the nail bed, yet did not come off. The fungus also spread into the "lunula" (half moon). It was very obvious I was suffering from severe symptoms of fingernail fungus.

Once a fingernail fungus infection has spread to lunula area of your nails, it is very, very hard to get rid of the fungus.

I researched over many months the different fingernail fungus cures. I was at the time, determined to fix my nail fungus myself, without the need of prescribed medication.

There are two different types of medication you can take for treating symptoms of fingernail fungus. Terbinafine (Lamisil) and itraconazole (Sporanox).

People with liver problems are either advised not to take this type of medication, or may be given a couple of blood tests during the course of the treatment. There are also generic brands available which are cheaper. Generic means you are not buying a brand name, so instead of Lamisil you could be offered Sebifin.

These generic brands are the same thing and do the same job.

Suffering from symptoms of fingernails fungus, can be really distressing and taking this type of medication may help you, or it may not. That is the chance you have to take.

I did try this type of medication, I didn't suffer from any side effects, although, the fungus did return, so I really would not recommend this as your only source of treatment.

If you are going to take prescription medication, still continue to put on tea tree oil, or soak your nails in undiluted white vinegar or apple cider vinegar.

You should not experience any symptoms of fingernail fungus again, if you look after your health. Always keep your fingernails clean and dry, and if you have your hands in water a lot, make sure you wear cotton lined gloves.

There are many ways to help prevent nail fungus from coming back again. Getting rid of your symptoms of fingernail fungus is what's important.

Your treatment for fingernail fungus no matter what you chose to do, will eventually lead to healthy fingernails.
